Andy Warhol was an early believer in the idea that brand identity and instant recognition would become the definition of success – for people as well as products. He recognized the art of being visible and explored the difference between art and advertising. Today, every single person has a brand that they are constantly curating. “She has the best style…”, “He posts the most amazing Instagram photos…” To put it simply, your brand is what people are saying when you’re not around.
Collaborating with unique clients and using their personal aesthetic and vision as a guidepost is my favorite step of the design process. I love challenging my own style to adapt and tailor specifically to such different client personalities and brand personalities. My goal for every logo I make, each brand I develop, every design I create, is for the personality and identity of the piece to be instantly recognized by the target audience the same way you might recognize a friend that always has the best style or posts the best photos.
