Christian Burroughs
BFA Graphic Design
My work often takes the form of minimalism as I enjoy playing with shapes and colors to help get a point across rather than more defined natural forms. Minimalism often creates a clean atmosphere that I work towards and wish to see in the world. Using the shapes and angles to divert the viewers attention, as well as creating interesting interactions using colors is also what drives me towards this style. This all culminates in my designs. I enjoy order and purpose in design, so I strive to find optimal solutions of placement and pattern. This is achieved through multiple variations and use of design-based software. Through these variations I explore the impact of space and type on the projected space of the project. After working through the variations, I gain an understanding of the proper design for the project and create the optimal product to be used in whatever facet of design it was created for. Be that in package, logo, poster, or any other kind of design, I will solve the design problem.
