Designer. Artist. Creator. Connor Chaney is interested in the complexity of minimalism and the important role craftsmanship plays in developing a strong initial impression that will last. In an urban society that has access to an unlimited amount of stimulation such as ours today, acquiring the attention of the viewer can be a competitive task; precisely the reason these ideas are so critical in his work. With the mass overload of information constantly flooding the brain, minimalism stands out by taking a step back and allowing the brain to breathe. Due to this idea, the composition must focus on not the quantity of its subjects, but the quality of their craft. The two must work together harmoniously in order to be successful, which is the main focus of Connor’s work. His process consists of deep thought, continuously developing various iterations and possibilities. This allows for the final product to be both intellectually abstract, and aesthetically pleasing, while only illustrating the essential ingredients necessary.
