BFA Photography

Photography is my expression. In the past, I had issues properly speaking my mind or communicating what I was truly thinking and feeling. Discovering photography was my saving grace in high school, it gave me a purpose to succeed. It takes the average person 3 seconds to look, process, and decide whether they enjoy a piece of art. I aim to make them look twice. Photography was never my hobby, I never had to prove I was a photographer or need to shout it from the rooftops. It is purely who I am.

As a photographer, I am drawn to expanding landscapes, towering mountains, and fierce waterways. Nature is the art that accidentally happens. Usually what I enjoy most is nature that has not been interfered with; pure nature with no human influences. I truly enjoy being able to climb a mountain and see a waterfall where it was meant to be. And that’s how I see nature; it’s where everything is meant to be. It is where I am meant to be. Experiencing the world through exploration and adventure is something I hope to share with my viewers. I use the camera as a stand in for my own eyes, providing a glimpse of my experiences and my point of view. The camera allows me to show the beauty and excitement of the outside world to the inside viewer.
